DR. RON TALLEY - PREACHER 

Ron Talley grew up in southwestern Virginia and then moved to Lorain, Ohio as a young boy. It was in Ohio that he met and married his wife, Rhonda, was saved and then called to preach. After graduating from Hyles-Anderson College in 1979, Ron Talley worked as Assistant Pastor at Lakewood Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. While there, he lead the Youth Department, the Bus Ministry, and the Sunday School Department and saw tremendous growth. In August of 1986, he was called to be the Pastor of Hyles Baptist Church with only 9 people in the first service. God has truly had His hand on our preacher as the church has seen many souls saved and has had much growth. Pastor Talley is a man who genuinely loves people and preaches the Word of God with boldness and without compromise. He has three adult children, two whom attend HBC with their families, and one in Idaho with her family.  DR. JIM LACKS

Jim Lacks was born and raised on a farm in South Boston, Virginia. He married his wife, Nancy, and soon after attended Hyles-Anderson College in Hammond, Indiana. After working as Youth Pastor in both Ohio and Missouri, he joined Ron Talley in 1986 to build the Hyles Baptist Church.  NATHAN THOMPSON

Nathan Thompson was born in upstate New York. He is the youngest of thirteen children. He was saved at the age of eight. His family moved to Virginia in 1999 and started attending Hyles Baptist Church in 2001. There he surrendered to preach the gospel at the age of twelve. He graduated from Freedom Christian Academy in 2006. He left to go to Hyles-Anderson College later that summer. He was married to Brittany Massey in the summer of 2009. He graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 2010 and returned to work on staff full time at Hyles Baptist Church. He currently serves as Bus Director.
